The Mission
of the Guilford County LEPC is:
To provide guidance to business
facilities in Guilford County that manufacture, store, or use
hazardous chemicals, to assist these facilities in reporting these
chemicals to the proper agencies and to encourage them to have
"Emergency Response Plans" in place;
to inform and educate the public
about chemical facilities in the community and actions that can be
taken in the event of an accidental chemical spill or release into the
environment; and to
provide assistance to governmental and emergency response agencies in
being well prepared to respond to and handle any emergencies
associated with chemical spills or releases that may occur in Guilford County.
